In a statement issued on Friday night by the Office of Press Secretariat, Cabinet announced a number of reappointments to top positions within the public service. They are as followed:
MATAUTIA RETURNS FOR HOUSING
Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view.Matautia Rula Levi has been reappointed as Chief Executive Officer for the Samoa Housing Corporation for the next three years. This is Matautia’s fourth term in office since her initial appointment in 2005. The position was advertised for public interest and two candidates submitted applications. The Interviewing Panel made an assessment of the applications before calling in both of them for an interview. After the interviews and assessments, the Panel submitted a recommendation before Cabinet for the final decision.
LE’AUPEPE CONTINUES AT PUBLIC TRUSTEE

Cabinet has approved the reappointment of Le’aupepe Va’aaoao Peleseuma Matautia Ropati as Public Trustee for the next three years. The vacancy was advertised for public interest, and only Leaupepe submitted an application. The Interviewing Panel called in Leaupepe for an interview. After the interview and assessment by the Panel, a recommendation was submitted to Cabinet for the final decision.
SAU KEEPS UNIT TRUST TOP ROLE

The vacancy was advertised for public interest and two candidates submitted applications. One application was later withdrawn. Only Sau was called in by the Interviewing Panel for an interview. After the interview and assessment by the Panel, a recommendation was submitted to Cabinet for the final decision.
